Sierra, our beautiful 20ft Dome, comes furnished with the following amenities to make for a cosy desert escape:
A comfortable Queen size Bed with pillows, soft linens, duvet cover, and extra plush blankets for those colder winter nights
A large Bay Window opening onto the South side of the property, with stunning desert views you can enjoy from every angle, floating in the comfort of two air chairs!
A kitchen area with a sink, drinking water dispenser, dish ware and silver ware, coffee maker, and even a popcorn machine. For a truly fun evening, we suggest grilling on the fire pit under the stars.
To make your stay more pleasant during warm and hot weather, Sierra has a solar fan integrated to its structure as well as two additional portable fans.
Please note Sierra Dome is entirely powered by the sun, and our system can only support what is already on site, plus your phone chargers and other low energy consuming devices. There is no AC in the dome!
Outside the dome, step onto an elevated wooden deck and enjoy some time in the shade on our deck chairs and couch, or make a fire and grill some marshmallows! Just bring your own firewood and make sure to respect any burn ban restrictions!

Note: The pool, bath house, and cafe are located at Terlingua Ranch Lodge. The drive is exactly 15 miles (or 26 minutes) away from the dome on an asphalt paved road. We recommend taking 4-wheel drive vehicles, considering the last 3 miles to the lodge are gravel only. There is a small fee to use the bath house, payable directly on site either at the showers or at the front desk.
