Fish from the dock, hire a guide down the road at Red River Trout Dock, or take your waders to Cow Shoals and fly fish. The Rustic Retreat is ideally located for all your trout fishing adventures. If fishing isn’t your thing or if you need a change of scenery, head just a few minutes away to Sugarloaf Mountain for a beautiful hike. Visitors can also find a wonderful disc golf course as well as more hiking at Mossy Bluff National Nature Trail and Disc Golf. For those who enjoy water sports, there are plenty of boats available to rent on Greer’s Ferry Lake for tubing, waterskiing, and wake boarding.
The Rustic Retreat offers the best of home away from home. The open concept living/dining/kitchen area is beautiful with dramatic vaulted ceiling and stone fireplace. Behind the fireplace, the sunroom's wall of windows open up to beautiful views of the river. Sipping coffee at the café tables or getting some work done at the desk is always better with a view. The well-appointed kitchen has everything needed for any culinary undertaking. There's also a charcoal grill on the patio, bring your own coals.
Our 2 bedroom 2 bath cabin sleeps 8 thanks to our new bunkroom. The main bedroom has a king size bed and private bathroom with a walk-in shower. With space for 5, the bunkroom boasts a twin over twin bunkbed and a twin over full bunkbed. Additional sleeping space on the twin pull out sofa in the sunroom. The large guest bathroom has a tub/shower and houses the full size washer and dryer.
