This spacious log cabin will make you feel like you're in Gatlinburg for the weekend! Decked out with log furniture, chainsaw carvings and a huge stone fireplace. Feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, when in reality you will be about 1 -2 miles from downtown Shelbyville antique malls & Horse shows, and only 15 minutes from Metro Louisville city limits. Also we are about 1 mile off I-64, just past a Cracker Barrel.
The space
This custom Real Log Home is 2240 sq ft with open floor plan. Master Bedroom, Master Bath, Half Bath and Laundry are on the main level in addition to living room, kitchen and dining areas. There are large glass windows overlooking several Koi ponds and extensive landscaping. Wrap-around porch with outdoor furniture and a pellet smoker/grill. Large open loft, with 2 queen-size beds, and additional seating area or play area for kids. Another private BR with Queen-size bed upstairs, along with an additional full bath.
This home was a model home/office & has been converted to a bed & breakfast.
Guest access
You will have access to the whole house, with the exception of the basement & small attic storage area. There are 2 large master bedrooms. 1st floor master has king size bed. 2nd fl master has Queen size Log Bed. There are 2 additional queen size log beds in the open loft.
Everything on the first floor is handicapped accessible. You have use of all spaces on the main floor, chests, dressers, kitchen, washer/dryer, etc. We do ask that you place used towels in the laundry room before leaving. Please leave all bedding on the beds when checking out. Check out is before 11:00 (later times available per request).
Home is kid friendly and does have a play area as well as some kid toys. Changing table, swings, pack and play, etc available upon request.
Handicap accessible including ramp and large halls and doorways. Everything needed is on main level.
