As local folklore goes, no one had ever even seen a lobster in the warm waters of the Gulf off Inlet Beach. Florida's Panhandle was not known for attracting these spiny sea creatures as they generally preferred the colder waters of the Atlantic off the Northeast corner of the U.S. So when Bubba, a longtime fisherman in these parts, spotted a lobster caught in his net, he really did not know what to think. To top it off…the lobster was blue…a rich navy blue! “I never knew there was such a thing!” Bubba wondered out loud. Aren't you all supposed to be red?” Bubba directed his question to the lobster as he untangled him from the net. “Well I started out red but the water off the coast of Maine where I was born is so cold I turned blue. I figured I was not cut out to live up North so I moved to Florida. I am still blue for some reason…must be a permanent thing.” Hmmm…a talking navy blue lobster.
